Freediving & Meditation

For competition divers and all divers who want to go deeper within themselves. You can have a lot of meditation experience or none. You will benefit in any case. New aspects, more depth, space, time and joy in the water and on dry land.

Immerse yourself in fascinating moments in which you synchronize depth within yourself with depth without. You will learn a lot about observing and controlling internal processes and will noticeably improve your diving performance as a result. Normally this is reflected in dive time, dive distance and dive depth. In any case in an extended dimension of pleasure.

Our biggest consumer of oxygen is the brain. This thinking machine, which usually takes on a life of its own, constantly withdraws from our “consciousness”. It draws consciousness from our body. As a result, we consume more oxygen, more muscle energy, our heart rate is higher than necessary, we lose concentration and focus, our movement sequences are no longer as optimal.
There is great potential here for EVERY diver, whether professional or recreational apnoea diver.

Even if you may already have meditation experience, yes, even if you practise regularly, I guarantee to accompany you on the path to an even “deeper” level within yourself.

What makes me so sure? The feedback I have been getting for years as a meditation teacher. I have been dealing with mental and psychological processes since my youth. Through sports coaching and my past as an international full-contact Tae Kwon Do fighter, I have had access to meditation techniques that train concentration, focus and efficiency on a mental level. Over the years, I acquired the further consecrations of meditation beyond the purely mental level through teachers and seminars. More focus on the experience of being beyond the stream of thought. Self-observation, reflection, mindfulness, practicing presence, true stillness, perception of space.

Most recently, I worked in Germany as a meditation teacher for the yoga teacher training program of the “Bund freies Yoga”. I have held many seminars and lectures myself. Of course, my final thesis in my training to become an AIDA Freediving Instructor also deals with the subject of meditation. The final thesis  can be downloaded free of charge here .

Experiences in silence and with silence are often linked to very subtle inner processes. This requires a finely “tuned” choice of words in order to “teach” successfully. I therefore prefer to offer this module in German and English.

We always offer meditation workshops for Kline groups here on El Hierro in our magical yurt. On request also as personal coaching. Please check the weekly schedule of the SINK POSITIVE WhatsApp group when you are on El Hierro.
