Unbelievable, but true. After a beautiful dive with the Ocean Brothers Francisco and Armando de Rosario at a perfect spot on the east coast, this giant rabbit speeded through the rocks on the sea. First, my diving chase in between bushes and stone blocks didn’t meet with success. Then I changed my strategy. I calmly talked to the giant rabbit and told him that we are vegetarians ourselves and would never eat a hare and would give him a warm home, plenty of space to run around, ocean views and delicious veggie food until the end of his days. Either I convinced him or his bunny ears couldn’t understand my broken Spanish or he lost his mind due to a lack of O2. Osbourne, a musician, once said, “Of all the things I´ve lost, I miss my mind the most.”
Anyway, I was able to gently pick up this presumed refugee of a rabbit slaughterhouse and bed him in my motorbike case. O2zy (pronounced OSSY) our new rabbit, wouldn’t have had a chance in the wild—too many dogs here. Now he amuses himself with delicious beets, salads, herbs and vegetables. He provides lots of fantastic plant fertilizer for our small organic farm. Thank you O2zy.
