Maybe a once in a lifetime experience. Lately we had a fascinating encounter with a biiiiig smalltooth sandtiger shark (odontaspis ferox). A very rare species to be seen. Normally these sharks live in depths around 1000m. Only in a few summers single females get closer to accessible depths at 2 or 3 spots of El Hierro´s Coastline.
